Dr Chantel Sabbadin
MBBS, FRACGP
While Dr Chantel is happy to see patients of all walks, she has a specialised interest in women’s health, and will cater to new patients seeking care in this area.
Dr Chantel is a graduate of James Cook University, where she attained her medical degree with an academic medal in 2018. She undertook training in tertiary and rural hospitals across Queensland before obtaining her Fellowship with the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2021.
Dr Chantel is a current member of the Australasian Menopause Society, with a particular interest in managing women’s health and wellbeing during perimenopause and menopause. She is experienced in sexual health, gynecology and pregnancy management.
Dr Chantel is a spirited, thorough and collaborative doctor. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based medicine and individualising patient care in a way that centres safety and empowers patients to take charge of their health.
Dr Chantel is very passionate about medical education, and the importance of quality communication and patient experiences. She has held roles in medical education at the University of Queensland and supports medical students undertaking general practice placements at the clinic.
Although she has historically cared for people with eating disorders, as of October 2024, Dr Chantel will not accept any new patients for the treatment or monitoring of eating disorders in addition to her current caseload. She is happy to direct you to alternative practitioners for this.
Outside of clinic hours, Dr Chantel spends her time keeping active, travelling and chasing beach sunrises.
